HSD is constantly focused on innovation and digitisation, and the ZDMP (Zero Defects Manufacturing Platform) project - in which the company is involved as a provider of technological solutions - is testament to this.
The goal of the project is to achieve
an open-development platform that can support manufacturing industries in their quest to achieve Zero Defect products and processes.
At the core of the ZDMP project is the major transformation taking place within the manufacturing industry, referred to as Industry 4.0, which has been made possible by the spread of new digital technologies applied through the production process chain.
In the same way as the phone evolved into the smartphone, ZDMP will drive the evolution of factories, enabling these to become Smart Factories and Zero Defect factories. HSD is proud to be part of this project, coordinated by the UNINOVA Research Centre, which in turn has more than
30 partners, including: Ford, Continental, Software AG, Mondragon Assembly, FIDIA, HSD, Formplast, Consugal, PT Mills, Flexeflina, CEI, AlfaTest, Ceteck, Video Systems, Ascora, Profactor, Etxe-Tar, Ikerlan, ITI and Rooter. The organisations involved in this project are supported by the Polytechnic University of Valencia, the University of Tampere, the University of Southampton, and DIN, the German Institute for Standardization of industrial processes and products.
The ZDMP project will be validated through industrial demonstrators in the automotive, industrial machinery, electronics and construction sectors; the latter will demonstrate how stronger cooperation between companies can prevent and reduce product and process defects along various supply chains. The ZDMP project combines state-of-the-art technological approaches based on standard commercial or open-source software with an open development and App store approach. It will focus on process and product quality for pre-production, production and post-production, with a view to ensuring Zero Defect manufacturing, and will enable end users to connect their individual systems in order to benefit from the platform's features, including quality assurance with regard to products and production. ZDMP can also simplify processes by connecting both existing and new devices and sensors, whilst simultaneously enabling connections to related information systems and operational resources.
At the HSD stand in hall 6, stand C39, during the AMB 2022 fair in Stuttgart, from 13 to 17 September, you will be able to discover the Zero Defects Manufacturing Platform and a wide range of products, technological solutions.
